Slipper Socks
4 oz worsted weight yarn
#2, #5, #7 knitting needles
With #7 needle, cast on 68 sts. Work 26 rows of garter stitch by k each row. Change to #5 needle and work k1, p1 ribbing for 4 rows. Change to #2 needles and work k2, p2 ribbing for 14 rows. Change to #5 needle and work k1, p1 ribbing for 4 rows. Change to #7 needles and knit 26 rows. Bind off.
Finishing: Fold and sew bound off stitches to cast on stitches. Sew up one end for toe. Optional: trim with pom pom if desired.
Note: for two colored socks, use contrasting color when knitting with #5 needles and use main color yarn when using #7 needles.

Classic Knitted Slippers

#6 knitting needles
Note: Use double strand of yarn throughout.
Cast on 32 sts.
Row 1: knit.
Row 2: k10, p1, k10, p1, k10.
Repeat these two rows for 24 ridges.
Change to k1, p1 ribbing for 2-1/2”.
Break yarn (do not bind off). Thread yarn needle and draw through all stitches. Sew up ribbing for toe. Sew other end for heel. Optional: Make a pom pom and stitch to front of slipper.

Corn Cob Slippers
2 colors worsted weight yarn 4 oz each
#8 (children’s size), #9 (Ladies’ size), or #10 (Men’s size) knitting needles
With MC, cast on according to desired size. Children’s size 48 sts, Ladies’ size 60 sts, Men’s size 72 sts. K 3 rows. Tie on CC. *k6 CC, k6 MC* rep *.* across rows knitting 6 of each color.
Next row (wrong side). Cross CC and MC. K6 CC bringing MC yarn to front (CC to back), repeat changing color in this manner across row.
Continue to k 6 sts like this, alternating in colors. Make as many rows as you want for length.
2 inches for toe on right side. K first 2 sts of each color tog until just 2 sts remain in each stripe. Sew 2-1/2” or 3” and back of heel. Put pompom on ladies slipper, black ribbon on boy’s or men’s slipper. (20 ridges for size 6-7, 24 ridges for size 8-9)

Cuffed Slippers
6 oz worsted weight yarn
#8 knitting needles
Note: Use yarn double throughout slipper with triple strand used on sole.
Cast on 41 sts.
Row 1L k16, p1, pick up a third strand of yarn for sole, k7, drop third strand of yarn, p1, k16.
Row 2: picking up third strand of yarn in center for sole, k5, p1, k29, p1, k5.
Repeat rows 1 and 2, 18 times.
At beg of 19th row, bind off 5 sts, work k1, p1 for next 12 sts, k7, work p1, k1 for next 12 sts, k5.
At beg of 20th row, bind off 5 sts, work p1, k1 for next 12 sts, k7, work k1, p1 for next 12 sts.
Repeat these two rows 10 times. On next two rows, k2tog. Cut yarn and draw through remaining sts to close toe.
Pick up 16 sts at heel. K across 8 times. Bind off.
Sew in heel and up front.
Optional: Bow: cast on 7sts, k across 14 times. Bind off and attach to slipper.
