Crocheted Patches Slippers
worsted weight yarn or any scraps to make different colored squares
size “G” crochet hook

Large Square for Sole and Sides:
Row 1: ch 5, join to form a ring. Row 2: ch 3, 4 dc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 5 dc, join to top of ch 3. Row 3: 1 sc in each dc, working 3 sc in each corner. Row 4: ch 3, 1 dc in each sc, working 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner, join. Row 5: ch 1, sc in each dc, 3 sc in each corner, join. Row 6: ch 3, 1 dc in each sc, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner, join. Row 7: ch 1, 1 sc in each dc, 3 sc in each corner, join. Row 8: ch 3, 1 dc in each sc, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner, join. Row 9: ch 1, 1 sc in each dc, 3 sc in each corner, join. Row 10: ch 3, 1 dc in each sc, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner, join, cut yarn.
Small Squares for Toe and Top of Slipper:
Row 1: ch 5, join to form a ring. Row 2: ch 3, 4 dc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 5 dc. Join to top of ch 3. Row 3: ch 1, 1 sc in each dc, 3 sc in each corner, join. Row 4: ch 3, 1 dc in each sc, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner. join. For Heel and Cuff make 2 squares: Work same as for toe square adding row 5. Row 5: ch 1, sc in each dc, 3 sc in each corner, join, cut yarn.
Join all pieces. make 2.

Ruffle Edge Slippers
worsted weight yarn
size “G” crochet hook

Work in back loops of sc throughout slipper. (Child’s size in parenthesis)
Ch (8)11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across row (7)10 sc. Continue for (20)22 rows, or for desired toe width. Turn and working along side edge put 1 sc in each row (20)25 sc. Work back and forth for (12)20 rows or for desired length of foot. Fasten off. Sew together the first (20)25 rows to form toe section. Fold other end in half and sew up to form heel.
Edging: Sc in each row around, join with sl st. Ch 3 make 2 dc in same space, sl st into next st. Ch 3, and 2 dc continue on around. Fasten off. Make chain approx. 27” long. Thread the chain in and out below the edging – starting in front and going around and ending in front and tie a bow.

Scrap Slippers by Craft Yarn Council of America
Sizes: Small = 9”, Medium = 9-1/2”, Large = 10”
Size Note: Instructions are written in smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses.
Materials: worsted weight yarn – 4.5 (5, 5.5 ) oz. [approx. 127.8 (142, 156.2) grams], any combination of scrap yarn can be used.
Aluminum crochet hook – size H (5.5 mm) or size needed for gauge.
Tapestry or yarn needle.
Gauge: 3 sc = 1”, 3 rows = 1”

Instructions
Note: Use double strand throughout. Colors may be changed at random.
Sole (make 2): Ch 7(7,8) loosely.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1, turn: (6(6,7) sc.
Row 2: Work 2 sc in first sc (inc made), sc in each sc across; ch 1 turn: 7(7,8) sc.
Rows 3-5: Inc in first sc, sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn: 10(11,11) sc. Work even for 7(9,11) rows.
Dec Row: Dec in next 2 sts as follows: pull up a loop in each of first 2 sc, yo and draw thru all 3 loops on hook (dec made), sc in each rem sc across; ch 1, turn. Rep Dec Row twice more. Work even until piece measures 8-1/2 (9, 9-1/2)”.
Next Row: Dec, sc in each sc across to rem 2 sc, dec, ch 1, turn: 5(5,6) sc. Rep last row once more; finish off: 3(3,4) sc. Weave in yarn ends.
Top: (make 2): Ch 8(8,9) loosely.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1, turn: 7(7,8) sc.
Row 2: Working in back loop only (BLO), inc in first sc, sc in back loop of each sc across; mark for right side with contrasting yarn; ch 1. turn.
Rep Row 2, 11(13,14) times: 19(21,23) sc. Work 2 rows even.
Sides: Next Row: Working in BLO, sc in first sc and in each next 6(7,8) sc; ch 1, turn. Working in BLO, work even on 7(8,9) sc until 12 rows have been worked or until length is sufficient to reach center back of sole; finish off. Join yarn with sl st in 6th sc from side just worked, sc in back loop of same sc and in each of rem 6(7,8) sc across; ch 1, turn. Work in same manner as opposite side; finish off. Weave in yarn ends.
Finishing: Sew back seams of Sides, Position Top so that center st of Top toe matches center st of Sole toe and center back seam of Sides matches center st of Sole heel. sc thru both thicknesses around Sole; finish off. Weave in any yarn sends.
